We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Quantity & Cost Estimation Engineer (Civil) to support infrastructure and building projects through accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and rate analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in project estimation and tender documentation while working on urban and public infrastructure assignments.
- Perform quantity take-offs from architectural, structural drawings.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings and specifications.
- Conduct rate analysis using market rates and standard schedules (e.g., CPWD DSR, SORs).
- Assist in preparing preliminary and detailed cost estimates for civil and infrastructure works.
- Support tender documentation by compiling technical cost inputs.
- Maintain cost databases and update unit rates as per current market trends.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and planning teams for data validation.
- Assist in value engineering and cost optimization reviews.
- Participate in site visits for measurement verification and estimation checks (as required).
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Foundational understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization); basic knowledge of AutoCAD for
drawing interpretation. - Strong numerical aptitude and ability to analyze data with attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn new software, estimation techniques, and industry best practices.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for team interaction and reporting.
- Basic problem-solving abilities and a logical approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in calculations and data entry.
