We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Structural Design Engineer (Bridge) in the design and analysis of highway, railway, or urban bridge structures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with design codes, structural modeling tools, and preparation of design and construction documentation for complex bridge projects.
- Lead and execute the structural design and analysis of various bridge types including RCC, PSC, steel,
composite, and segmental bridges. - Prepare and review GADs, detailed design drawings, and construction drawings.
- Perform structural modeling and analysis using software such as STAAD.Pro, MIDAS Civil, CSI Bridge, or
RM Bridge. - Conduct load calculations as per IRC, IS and project-specific standards.
- Prepare and validate design reports, structural calculations, technical specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with highway engineers, geotechnical experts and site engineers.
- Provide technical support during construction, including review of shop drawings, resolving RFIs, and
site inspection. - Interact with government clients (e.g., MoRTH, NHAI, Railways, State PWDs) for design approvals and
technical presentations. - Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software: STAAD.Pro, MIDAS, SAP 2000, SAFE, STAAD.PRO etc
- Strong working knowledge of relevant codes and guidelines: IRC, IS, MoRTH specifications, and international standards (e.g., AASHTO, BS) where applicable.
- Understanding of foundation design, seismic design, and hydraulic considerations for bridge design.
- Experience in preparing DPRs, feasibility studies, and tender-stage documentation.
